Vocalist, Vocalist - Bass, Vocalist - Baritone, Vocalist - Tenor, Vocalist - Soprano, Vocalist - Alto.ABOUT
We are a newly formed metal band, looking to complete our lineup. We need a lead vocalist. At the moment, we have two guitarists, a bassist and drummer.
We have written five songs so far (as of the time that I posted this advert) and we have many more ideas. Most of the current members have been in bands with each other before, so there is a natural flow to our writing. We are always coming up with ideas, we just need someone to complete this!
We are influenced by many different bands, though we are primarily influenced by old-school metal such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. However, we do NOT want to sound just like these bands. Best way to describe the stuff we play is a heavier version of Iron Maiden with "brutal" drums. Obviously this is a little vague but it's the best example I can think of at the time of writing.
We are basically playing heavy, modern, NWOBHM.
Myself (the guitarist), the other guitarist and the bassist are major Maiden-heads but our drummer is a very fast, technical drummer. This combination worked well in the past, but we never had a solid line-up.
We are not interested in metalcore/emo/deathcore or anything like that. Bands that have "melody" like Killswitch Engage are NOT what we are aiming for. I emphasize that we are basically aiming for very heavy, NWOBHM.
We want someone ideally between the ages of 18 and 25 who is willing to work hard to make this work. We want someone who will be committed to pushing the band, as well as contributing to the writing of songs and lyrics.
We want a vocalist who is able to sing to a relatively high standard, carry a melody and be able to write catchy chorus lines. However we want someone with an aggressive "clean" voice, who can sing but with an "edge" (overdrive would probably be the technical term!). We are going to be doing a fair bit of gigging eventually and we are quite big on the live performance so we need someone to front the band, give a great stage prescence AND be able to sing. Its a lot to ask for, but it's what would make the band work!
If you have the same influences as us, great! (See below for some of our collective influences).
Ideally, you will have your own transport, be happy to drive to practices in Bath and to gigs on a regular basis. Obviously your own PA and the like would be great, but is definately not a requirement. We just need someone who can front the band!
We have set up base at a small studio in Bath, if push comes to shove we can travel elsewhere if you fit the bill accross the board, but for the time being we are aiming to stay in Bath for practices. We practice once every week.
Please contact myself (Callum) at [email protected] if you would like to give us a shot. I can provide a few rough demos on request if you are interested.

Demo 1
Demo 1 Track number: 1 Year: 2010 Album: N/A Genre: Metal
A very, very rough demo done on a basic home PC using a cheap FX pedal and (very badly programmed because I'm crap at programming them) MIDI drums. It gives you the general idea of what we are looking to accomplish, it was recorded as a guide so that our drummmer could remember the structure and was recorded in a couple of hours. So please, don't take it on face value. We sound a lot better than the demo believe me!
