My name is Iain, I’m predominantly a bassist, but also play guitar. I used to play bass in bands in my teens and 20’s ranging from local covers bands to an originals band that toured in the North of England in the 90’s. I’m 50 years old and looking to form/ join another band in the local area for fun. I’m not looking for anything too serious or committing, just jamming and the odd gig with like minded musicians. I’m based in Burton in Kendal, so local to Lancaster and Kendal area.

Influences
Anything from Chuck Berry to Metallica. I love The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Stone Roses, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, The Smiths, The Clash, in fact most decent 60’s - 2000’s guitar bands. I’m also not adverse to playing other styles such as Disco or Funk, but I’m definitely not a Jazz player. I’m also not a good sight reader.

EQUIPMENT
My Trusty Ibanez GSR. It’s cheap, but plays like butter - love that thing. I also have a P bass copy which has seen better days but plays well and a semi acoustic bass (Vintage brand). I have a Trace Elliot Combi and a Vox Multi Effects.
Guitar wise, I have an Ibanez Artcore hollow body and a Tanglewood acoustic. No guitar amp currently, but I’m looking to purchase one.
