HYMNS is the musical project of singer songwriter and guitar player Oliver Hooper. Having moved from London to Manchester post pandemic I am now seeking band members in the form or a drummer, bass player and guitar player.
New songs are being written but I am eager to find a writing partner and band with the aim of playing live in and around Manchester as well as recording new material once properly rehearsed. There is an albums worth of previous material to use as the basis of a live set some of which you can stream above.
If you like the previous tracks and and are serious about committing to a an originals music project please get in touch. Please be aware of the style and influences behind the music. I am no virtuoso (far from it) but have a sense of musicality and melody that comes across in the songs. If you don't like this kind of music or feel it's technically too difficult to play please don't waste my time. I'm sure you can appreciate where I'm coming from on this.
