SEEKINGVocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Piano, Background Singer, Electronic Music.
We are a singer and guitarist who write and perform our own songs, seeking additional members to form a full band (drums, bass, keyboards required). We have been travelling with backpacks and a guitar for over one year, playing at open mic nights in different places. We are now home in West London and want to rehearse and gig with our current material whilst writing more songs.
We use the name Hicks & Gorman but this would be changed after the formation of a new group, and we are open to new members contributing to the song writing process too. We have home recordings and videos made on the road, and have also made a studio recording of our song Wild Flame while in Australia. You can visit www.hicksandgorman to listen to the songs or have a look for us on Spotify and YouTube.
It will depend on circumstances but a regular weekly or bi-weekly practice session will be ideal once we get going, as well as one gig per week in the beginning. We can take it from there. Please do message us if you're interested in finding out more and you're feeling good things from our music so far. You can go to the contact section of our website to reach us http://hicksandgorman/contact

Hicks & Gorman - Wild Flame
Hicks & Gorman - Wild FlameWild Flame was recorded at Bounce Recording Studios during a fresh Australian autumn in Melbourne. Drums, bass, piano and electric guitars build upon the original acoustic composition. Gorman began writing Wild Flame soon after leaving home for Australia, setting its lyrics to an interesting sequence of guitar chords that he had been circling round in previous weeks. The up-tempo beat and singalong chorus have made this a fan favourite. Lyrics Below Held it in so long Bursting to become Just another push From another distant look Taking hold of the day Shape it in a different way You think that you’re making ground But that is what’s bringing you down And it’s too late for you, too late for you No one left to blame So keep on burning on, burning on Baby you’re a wild flame Look at all you have Smiles turned to ash An unknown touch, your only comfort But no different from the last You rise it up, you rise it up You raise up everything Still the feeling burns inside The old familiar sting And it’s too late for you, too late for you No one left to blame So keep on burning on, burning on Baby you’re a wild flame You’re burning on You’re burning on Keep burning on And it’s too late for you, too late for you No one left to blame So keep on burning on, burning on Baby you’re a wild flame
The Feeling's Changed (Home Multitrack Demo)
The Feeling's Changed (Home Multitrack Demo)Track 2 of the Miles Away demo album. Lyrics When I saw your face, the light a crystal blue, a place where we used to go I can't forget the days and all the different ways it played with my mind 'Cause I know there's a change The feeling's not the same and it's not right to lean on our flaws With the twists and the turns and the way it all hurts I don't know who's to blame but it's not the same When I felt your eyes, resting on my gaze, a sight that I used to know And I can't forget the days and all the different ways it played with my mind 'Cause I know there's a change The feeling's not the same and it's not right to lean on our flaws With the twists and the turns and the way it all hurts I don't know who's to blame but it's not the same
Colorado Smile (Outdoor Acoustic)
Colorado Smile (Outdoor Acoustic)This is a soft acoustic song written by Tom while travelling, and recorded in the peaceful surrounds of the giant bungalows in Pai northern Thailand 2015. Turn it up slightly to match volume. You can view the full video recording at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz5Enk8PlAc Lyrics I’ve lived my life through the eyes of a dreamer That never seem to come true I stopped on the spot when I had seen her That Colorado smile knocked this London boy down And as she sits in troubled waters She makes it sparkle with her diamond face I sat there in the water beside her She tells me secrets of her heart gone to waste And we ran passed the boats and the bars and the rivers We talked by swings in the trees Trying to see what she sees in this lonely dreamer As we drank in the night of a care free breeze I remember the day that she sailed away Left me for her hometown But I’ll never forget the highest I was When that Colorado smile knocked this London boy down
