Groove-focused, timing-driven bassist with a strong feel for locking in tightly with a drummer and making music feel solid, supportive and danceable. While bass is my primary instrument, I’m also comfortable on rhythm guitar, and simple drums and keys parts, with rhythm and feel at the centre of everything I play.

Experienced in live performance, including dep work with Owen Paul (“My Favourite Waste of Time”). Reliable, well-prepared and easy to work with, with a professional attitude.

I’m not looking to join an established band with a huge setlist. Instead, I want to build something new from the ground up: a fun, positive project with good people, focused on creating joy, nostalgia, dancing and floor-filling songs — not tied to any single genre or decade.

Influences include Stuart Zender, Bernard Edwards, Freddie Washington, John Taylor and Tony Levin: players known for groove, feel and musicality rather than flash.

My taste is broad, but I’m drawn to groove, hooks and strong songwriting. Big hooks, atmosphere, rhythm and personality matter more to me than genre labels.

I’m not into metal, drill, trap or rap, and overly sentimental R&B isn’t really my thing. I lean heavily towards the 70s and 80s in terms of feel and musicianship, though there are plenty of great records from the 90s and beyond that still hit the mark.
