I have been playing drums for 13 years now. I'm 18 years old, soon to be 19 and have been playing since I was 6. I've been in various bands and play in different venues every week with 2 bands and other musicians I work with. I'm doing a level 3 music course which I will leave in a couple of weeks as I have done all of my work. I get my results on the 15th of August and should get a distinction, which is equivalent to 4 A's at A level. I can learn songs by ear pretty well. I can sight read but it takes me a while to work it out and I much prefer to learn songs by ear. I'd love to become a session musician in the near future. I have also started to write my own songs, just before Christmas 2018. I mainly write lyrics and then work together as a full band on the melodies and chords. I can't really play guitar and I do struggle with melodies a bit. But I can write good lyrics.
