EaglesEagles, Baker’s third and final single from his upcoming 12-track album Everything Is Temporary, is out now. The southern-raised musician explores the elevating feelings we encounter on meeting certain individuals. Tipping a hat to the 80s era, Baker joins his mixed influences of pop/soul, beats and virtuosic guitar playing to devise a densely colourful and wide pallet of sound.
Whilst studying for his final year at Goldsmiths University, the 22 year-old has also been cooking up his third album. While the Shadows gave us an electronic, upbeat tease as to what’s in store, Half-Shot discretely hinted at a darker overtone the grand release will reveal. Eagles sits between the two first singles, keeping us “high and low” throughout. The final guitar solo pays homage to some of Baker’s most noticeable influences, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck who has previously admired Harry’s playing.
Whilst finishing off the project in lockdown, Baker released an early version of Eagles in a youtube series called “Quarantine Sessions”, raising awareness around the importance of staying in, “Eagles (Acoustic)” will also be available to stream on all platforms.
