December 6: David Murray is killed when he is ran over by a car.
M1 convinces Edwin to recreate David with a robot.

1976

Because the other robots had failed, Edwin puts M1's program into a computer named F10-N4 and he creates a new program to insert into M1's body.
The Crying Child is born.

1979

Fazbear Entertainment buys MCM and the Murray mansion.

Edwin gets angry at M2 acting like David and he beats it up, locking it in David's room afterwards. This teaches M2 violence and has Edwin's agony poured into it.

M2 breaks out of David's room and it ambushes Edwin by blowing up his office and trapping Edwin's legs underneath a pile of rubble. Edwin begs M2 to free him, but Edwin is mocked and left to die.
Fazbear Entertainment catches wind of Edwin going missing and it starts sending out teams to retrieve the schematics Edwin owed them.

September 7: The events of Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic take place.
Arnold is sent to retrieve The Mimic from Murray's Costume Manor.

1981

December: Coppelia is born.

1983

Fredbear's Family Diner is such a success, that a new location is opened—Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Introducing 4 brand-new characters: Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate.

The cartoon show Fredbear & Friends! airs.
The Crying Child might have seen something potentially leading to his fear of the Fredbear's animatronics. Not to mention that his older brother significantly heightened this fear by relentlessly bullying and tormenting him because of it. At the same time, his friends also seeing this behavior every day also led them too joining in to torment The Crying Child.

The events of Five Nights at Freddy's 4 pre-night mini-games take place.[3][4]

Crying Child is locked in his room by his older brother.

Crying Child is jumpscared by his older brother from behind the television.

Crying Child is forcibly left behind at Fredbear's Family Diner by his older brother, where he get a glimpse of William Afton helping an employee in a back room. However, he is too horrified by the mascots to do anything.
2 days before Crying Child's birthday.
Crying Child manages to leave Fredbear's Family Diner, interacts with some other kids on the way home, and is jumpscared by his older brother again.

Crying Child is locked in a back room of Fredbear's Family Diner.

As a final bullying act to terrify him as much as possible, Crying Child's older brother, along with his friends, forcefully carry him towards the two animatronics with this eventually escalating to them shoving him inside Fredbear's mouth, causing The Big Bite.
"The Crying Child" later dies in the hospital due to his fatal head and brain injury.

The Puppet/The Marionette is created by Henry Emily, serving as a security puppet, meant to keep the children safely inside the establishment. Including his own young daughter, Charlotte Emily.

The events of "Take Cake to the Children" and "Security Puppet" mini-games take place. Sharing the same story of the same tragic night, but from different perspectives.
The top of The Puppet's/The Marionette's gift box, where he always hides inside of, is weighed down by another gift box. Letting three of the other kids lock Charlotte Emily outside of Fredbear's Family Diner.
Charlotte being outside goes undetected for too long by The Puppet/The Marionette, as William Afton drives by in his car and kills her. Likely as an act of revenge, whether spurred on by alcohol or out of pain from the loss of his own son by Henry's robotic expertise.
The Puppet/The Marionette heads out the exit towards her corpse. Gaining damage from the pouring rain, until he's finally lying beside her lifeless body, hugging the murdered girl whilst he deactivates.
Charlotte Emily becomes The Puppet/The Marionette.

The events of the "Midnight Motorist" mini-game take place (with William Afton being the playable orange character). Happening shortly after William murdered Charlotte Emily.

Fredbear's Family Diner shuts down, following the young deaths of both "The Crying Child" and Charlotte Emily. Both founders of Fazbear Entertainment, William Afton and Henry Emily, being in mourning over their respective son and daughter.

The cartoon show Fredbear & Friends! is cancelled, alongside any other branding and merchandise surrounding Fredbear's Family Diner. Specifically Fredbear and Spring Bonnie.

Michael Afton has vivid nightmares about the different animatronics from both Fredbear's Family Diner and Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, which appear as the Nightmare Animatronics. Influenced by the guilt from murdering his own younger brother.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza remains open, still featuring the new four animatronics. Meanwhile The Puppet/The Marionette, Fredbear, and Spring Bonnie are moved from the now permanently shut Fredbear's Family Diner, all three being in storage.

1985

William Afton goes on a murdering spree inside of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. This is later dubbed by the public and media as the "Missing Children's Incident"[5] .
The bodies are stuffed inside of the newer four animatronics and the old Fredbear suit.
The events of "Give Gifts, Give Life" mini-game take place.
The Puppet/The Marionette, possessed by Charlotte Emily, gave the animatronics life. Allowing the souls of the 5 murdered children to possess Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and the old Fredbear springlock suit which is now dubbed as "Golden Freddy".
Customers notice foul smells start to come from the suits, and parents contact police reporting blood and mucus around the eyes and mouths of the animatronics.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza shuts down.
The animatronics from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza are kept for reopening.

1985-1987

The old animatronics are retro-fitted with newer technology, but scrapped and used for spare parts.

1987

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza reopens with a new location in early November, featuring the new Toy animatronics, as well as The Puppet once again.
The remaining five animatronics from the old Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location were initially planned to be reused, being retrofitted with the new technology, but were inevitably stored in the back room, being used for parts instead.
Another set of children are murdered by William Afton, going on to possess the Toy Animatronics. The deaths of these five children are covered up and never become known by the public.
The events of Five Nights at Freddy's 2 take place.
The location is investigated by the police due to rumors regarding the new murders.
The Bite of '87 occurs.
The location shuts down, and the new Toy animatronics are scrapped. The Old animatronics are kept for a future reopening.

1988-1993 (Late 80s - Early 90s)

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza '93 opens.
Spring Bonnie is stored in the location's safe room.
Phone Guy works as the nightguard for most of it's duration.

1993

The events of The Week Before takes place.
In the first week of November, Phone Guy starts recording messages for a future nightguard. Within this same week, during his fourth recording, the animatronics all attack at once, with Golden Freddy managing to kill him.

The events of Five Nights at Freddy's takes place.
The following week, Michael Afton gets a job at the location under the name Mike Schmidt, spending a week there. On his seventh night, Michael tampers with the animatronics, changing their AI values, thus changing their aggression. He is promptly fired for this tampering, alongside the odor he picked up from doing so.

The location closes at the end of the year, due to rumors about the DCI and bad reputation from the Bite of 87.[6]

Mid-Late 90s (Unspecified)

William Afton creates his own line of animatronics, known as the Funtime Animatronics, designed to lure and kill children on their own. They were intended to be used in Circus Baby's Pizza World, but leading up to the location's grand opening, Circus Baby killed William's daughter, Elizabeth Afton, during private testing. The location was then cancelled, with her death being covered up with gas leaks. Elizabeth possessed Circus Baby, turning the animatronic's eyes green, and the Funtime animatronics were then moved to Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals.

The Funtimes were sent out as a rental service, with families being able to rent them out for birthday parties. After a while, William Afton eventually sent down his son, Michael Afton, as a technician, with the goal to put Elizabeth back together.

The events of Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location takes place.
While Michael was down there, William went to the third Freddy Fazbear's location and dismantled the four main animatronics. However, the souls of The Missing Children grew restless, and were set free from the animatronic vessels, attacking William. The soul of Cassidy, possessing Golden Freddy, chased him around the safe room, before he hid inside of the Spring Bonnie suit, laughing briefly before the springlocks went off, crushing him inside.

Michael kept returning to Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals for five nights, following HandUnit and Circus Baby's instructions. On the third night, Funtime Foxy attacked him, kidnapping him and taking him to the Scooping Room, where Circus Baby hid him inside of an old Springlock Suit intended for her location.

On the fourth night, the animatronics started using The Scooper on themselves. Finally, on the fifth night, Michael was sent to repair Circus Baby herself, who had him take a chip out of her and send her to the Scooping Room. She then guided him back through Funtime Auditorium as Ennard stalked him, pretending that it was Ballora. She guided him to the Scooping Room, and, once he was inside, revealed that it was all a trick. Ennard used the Scooper on him, ripping out part of his skeleton, before hollowing the rest of him out manually, using his corpse as a skin suit to escape.

Michael's body rotted, and, after a while, ejected Ennard into the sewers. Circus Baby's voice repeated in Michael's head, and the remnant inside of him caused Michael to live on, his soul possessing his hollow, rotten corpse.

2023

Fazbear's Fright is announced to be opening in a local amusement park.
The Fazbear's Fright Guard works there and leaves.
Phone Dude calls Fright Guard back a week before opening.
The events of Five Nights at Freddy's 3 take place.[7]
A real, live animatronic is found and Springtrap is released into Fazbear's Fright.
On the 6th night, the building set on fire, and everything inside was sold at auction.

Fall (Post-FNaF 3)

Henry Emily put out an ad for a franchisee that would be picked up by Michael Afton.
The events of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator take place.
The Franchisee brings in all of the Scrap Animatronics.

The events of Ultimate Custom Night take place.
Shortly after burning alive, William Afton gets put in a purgatory by The One You Shouldn't Have Killed.

2028/2029

The events of Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted take place.[8]
The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience enters its final stages.
Glitchtrap escapes from the virtual experience by merging with Vanny.

Through unknown means, the protagonist (presumably Cassie's Father) ends up in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place with the V.A.N.N.I. mask on.

Vanny kills Glitchtrap.
The events of Security Breach: RUIN take place.
Cassie is lured into the abandoned Pizzaplex by The Mimic, with the main endoskeleton posing as Gregory and the Glitchtrap copy posing as Helpi.
Either Glitchtrap or Cassie's Father controls the Mask Bot, giving Cassie the V.A.N.N.I. mask.
Cassie sets The Mimic free.

A calendar ingame confirms March 9th takes place on a Friday, and March 10th is on a Saturday. The earliest possible year where this is the case, excluding 2029 as Help Wanted cannot reasonably be finished only a year after FNAF 3, is 2035. March 9th, 2035 is also a full moon, and no moon is present in the sky during gameplay. Additionally, one of the pictures ingame has 2035 written on it.
