Giulia is a professional guitarist, teacher and musician. She obtained a Summa cum Laude A.A. Degree in Guitar Performance from Musicians Institute Hollywood and a First Class Honours B.A. Degree in Media & Communications from Goldsmiths University of London. She is currently studying a Masters of Music at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance London. She has been a guitar and voice instructor at Guitar Center in Glendora (CA USA) and at Prado Academy of Music in Granada Hills (CA USA) and lead guitarist at Danger Escape @dangerescape band. Giulia has been studying guitar with Alberto Milani (‘Stories by the Bridge’ feat. Scott Henderson) and with Dario Cortese, Senior Lecturer at ICMP London UK. Once welcomed at M.I. with 3 scholarships, she has been studying with guitar masters such as Allen Hinds, Scott Henderson, Stig Mathisen (Alcatrazz). She attended clinics with some of the most relevant guitarists: Plini, Animals as Leaders, Greg Howe, Per Nilsson, Nili Brosh, Kiko Loureiro, Jeff Loomis.
Giulia has performed live extensively, playing lead guitar and singing her original music as a solo artist and within local bands all over London UK (Alley Cat Club Tottenham Court Road, Eel Pie Club Twickenham, Comedy Club Piccadilly Circus) and Los Angeles California (Whiskey a Go Go). She performed ‘Perpetual Burn’ by Jason Becker for her M.I. Graduation Concert and received appreciation from Becker himself. Giulia was part of the 2017 and 2018 @Shreddelicious annual NAMM Show photo shoot along with star female guitarists such as Jen Majura (Evanescence), Courtney Cox (Iron Maidens) and has been endorsed by MCSystems after winning Future Heroes talent contest search. She is also endorsed by soundbrenner Pulse Wearable Metronome and Guitar Layers teaching software and was a finalist at #mosshredderschallenge3 @mastersofshred guitar solo contest. Giulia has developed an eclectic technical guitar style, which incorporates her strong classical background with progressive fusion concepts. Comfortable in many different playing styles, from funk to metal, from jazz to blues and more, she studied music theory and ear training extensively. She also practiced guitar maintenance, studio guitar recording and digital music editing, succeeding in the Apple Logic Pro X certification exam. She is passionately sharing her skills by giving Skype music lessons all over the world and working as original artist and session musician. Her YouTube channel Giulia Marta Vallar counts over 20K followers and 6M views.
