Band to Join.ABOUT
28 year old drummer looking for local band to join. I have been playing drums for about ten years now and have been in four different bands so have plenty of gigging experience. I would say I am a good drummer, I can keep time but also I'm always looking to create new and interesting ideas on the drums. I can also contribute song ideas, riffs, as I play guitar and bass to a fairly basic level. I am looking for a band with the same outlook as me in that they are trying to create something original, preferably with a dance or heavy rock groove, something that will get people dancing. I am NOT interested in joining a trad indie band that sound like Stereophonics, Kasabian etc, or a band at the heavier end of heavy metal. Influences
My favourite drummers are the ones from Rage Against The Machine, Modest Mouse, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Bloc Party. There is also a local band that I love called Sunset Cinema Club. More recently I quite like Wolf Parade, Bombay Bicycle Club and Everything Everything.
