ABOUT

Primarily deal with composition; orchestral 'colouring-in' on contemporary instrumentation.
Well versed in writing for classical instruments; arranging in the 'style off', e.g. transcribing/arranging a theme over multiple instruments/voices, and vise versa.
No genres in how I practice.

Studied Musicology at Bangor University of Wales.

I'm very much in need of a varied ensemble; I'm to arrange my series of symphonic poems, in the stages of writing/finding suitable libretto....

Collaboration is key for developing the thematic material into a space of its own. Being a guitar/piano-centric performer I have very little strategy when it comes to correctly utilizing the range/technique/expressions of some, other inst, types. e.g. composed a piece to include a 'chanter' or 'bombarde' but the pressure needed to maintain a note is very extreme may be very difficult if not impossible to preform; hence, I need help exploring orchestration techniques in the presence of players

If I were to loosely paint the sound into picture; Frank Zappa intrigue with Rachmaninoff depth, range & Colour in amongst the style/ presence of Zep, S,O.A.D moving the black pieces; and the properties of folk/incidental/modal music placing the white, on a chess board in which the number of squares/pieces isn't fixed..... yeah. sounds fu*ked, right xD

Im'ma be on a ground mission to find punters to fill up a few spots if they are available in the near future. If you're curious, in any which way, get in touch; if all you need is the therapy, thats a'ok too; no commitments here. Just the motion!
