I've played bass for a long time,I'm 37 yr old.
I play in a prog metal band. We're currently looking for a guitarist and drummer into playing heavy progressive rock with a mix of different time signatures but also keeping a heavy groove in the less proggy parts. All the songs are tuned to Standard B, would suit 7 string guitarists or anyone who likes tuning down and not playing everything in 4:4 time.
I'd also like to play in a funk/soul/jazz type band with an early 70's vibe. Probably built around drums,bass, guitar and keyboards, although any other instruments could be interesting.

Funk/Soul/Jazz I'm currently listening to is Stevie Wonder, Roy Ayers, Temptations, O'Jays, Jamiroquai, Lonnie Liston Smith, Mandrill, BT Express, Isley Brothers and similar.
I'm always looking out for more stuff like this and would love to play in this type of band.
