DRUMMER URGENTLY REQUIRED!

Firstly, apologies for the long blurb. Unfortunately there are way too many timewasters on these sites and generally, the people who don't want to be bothered reading this are the people we probably don't want!

We are a Rock, Melodic Metal and originals band performing a diverse range of covers in our own rock/blues/metal style.

We have bass, guitar, keys and vocals and we are all experienced and accomplished musicians. Sadly, due to health issues and an unforeseen change in circumstances we have just lost our drummer. Although he has done the decent thing and offered to stay on until we have a new drummer up to speed, we have gigs booked to the end of the year and it's only fair to everybody to move on as quickly as possible, so we now urgently need a creative and accomplished drummer. We're all aged between 50 - 70 (if that matters, - it doesn't to us), and we're all very experienced having played in a number of bands over the years.

We've grown a respectable Facebook following in a fairly short period of time and we have a website which you can check out at www.foolsmessiah.com and a Youtube channel. We have more venues wanting to book us but we're having to holding them off for the time being.

There's plenty of covers bands out there so we do something just a bit different. We lean towards songs which are well known but not the obvious 'gigged to death' numbers. We arrange songs in our own way, (not all of them - and hopefully tastefully), usually with a rock/melodic metal arrangement and your suggestions and input will be welcome and encouraged. We are also planning on working original numbers in to the set.

The right person will above all be reliable and committed, not mind humping gear around, easy going, enthusiastic, and a bloody good laugh; we're all slightly south of bonkers!! We don't do egos or Brit Pop and we try to steer clear of too much Classic Rock, not because we have anything against them, but because there are already a thousand and one other bands out there doing that so if AC/DC, Oasis, Blur, The Arctic Monkeys etc is your bag we're probably not the band for you. Whilst it isn't an automatic bar, we also have found to our cost that generally it doesn't really work when people are in more than one band. Sooner or later something clashes and there aren't enough hours in the day!

Backing vocals would be great but certainly not essential.

We rehearse Wednesday nights at our own private rehearsal space in Stone but we have 24/7 access to use it whenever we want to. The gear is permanently setup and includes a Mapex kit so drummers need only bring brass and snare. We're currently gigging 1 - 2 times a month but this can increase as much or as little as we want it too.

Don't be put off by the bands listed under 'influences,' we cover a diverse range of material from Metallica, Slipknot and Alter Bridge to Adele, but check out the videos on our website and Facebook, we DO NOT, - for example, - do Adele the way Adele does Adele!
