I have a very diverse taste in music ranging from hip hop, indie/alternative all the way to classical pieces and jazz but I am wanting to create a 3 piece band incorporating influences such as nirvana, the pixies, dinosaur jr as well as more modern indie bands such as Bombay bicycle club. I think of it as a sort of new age grunge of sorts.

Nirvana, the pixies, echo, dinosaur jr, temple of the dog, the bicycle thief, Bombay bicycle club, white lies, brand new, basement. Any kind of alternative influence is great...catchy hooks and rocking out to the max.
