ABOUT

Hi my name is Emma, I'm 23, I'm a lady and I'm looking for some other ladies to start a emo/pop/rock band. Maybe not instantly but I'd love to practice and hang out with some like-minded people. I really don't care if you can't play very well, I probably can't sing very well but who cares, I just want to meet friendly people who want to create music. Maybe we'll do something with it, maybe we won't, fun in the mystery right?

Well, I should start by saying I don't have a lot of experience. Best to suitably lower your expectations now haha. I was in a band when I was a teenager, we only really played a school concert. But this is something I've always wanted to do and just haven't found the right people. It's really hard to write this without sounding extremely cheesy so bare with me, haha.

I love singing, I haven't really done it professionally because I'm kinda shy so if we get together it'll probably be a while before we can play an actual gig...But I really love the idea of putting together like an all female emo/poprock band, because I haven't heard enough and I think with the right people we'd be pretty brilliant.

I didn't put in the when I can gig and all this stuff because I have no idea, I'm unemployed at the moment, avoiding looking at my bank account, can't find a job anywhere and even the DWP doesn't want me so might as well attempt to do something I want to do hey, even if it is maybe unrealistic.

Without meaning to sound like an elderly person on a dating website, I just want to find people that we can be great friends, make great music and hopefully inspire some people too maybe, if that's not too arrogant to say.

I love film, I love video games and one of the reasons I love bands like MCR and Panic! At the Disco, is because of the theatrical sound in their music. I attached a link to my soundcloud, that's got my final project I did at uni, it's a soundtrack for a fake horror film I did. There's like two or three songs on there where I sing so you can hear a recent-ish sound of my voice.

I love writing songs, here's a link to my fairly embarrassing youtube account I made when I was a teenager which has some of the songs I've written on it, sung a bit out of key but the passion is there. Yeah, all the views I'm pretty sure are just me but shhh...

I'm almost a little hesitant to put this up because I'm quite anxious about the whole thing to be honest, I don't know if it's going to work, but if you don't try you don't get anywhere so...Here we goooo...
That really was cheesy wasn't it? Sorry. Also you can find me on twitter @3mmaCo so if you think I'm too lefty, too sarcastic, or a bit weird you'll probably find out that way.

EQUIPMENT

Yes, I think it would be helpful if you had equipment.
I don't have any at all, but I do have a blender which I think might be broken because it flashes when I blend things. That's not good is it?
