Calling New Musicians
This notice is for skilful and creative musicians to audition for a new ensemble specialising in African dance fusion, neo-soul and world music.
The founder is a provocative singer, poet and storyteller (female, Nigerian, mid-20s) who will be the lead vocalist and headliner of the band.
Musicians will compose, perform and record instrumental accompaniments for original songs under the name of the band.
All collaborative songwriters will share royalties equally, and in addition, composers may further exploit their own instrumentals separately.
Band members will have to incentivise themselves by investing time and creativity into a commercial act that will generate revenue later.
Candidates must have their own equipment, be willing to sign a band partnership contract, and be able to commit to weekly rehearsals.
The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable and professional, with a good attitude as well as respect for other band members.
All kinds of instrumentalists (rhythm, harmony and melody) are welcome, and whether standard or exotic, electronic or traditional.
