I have been playing music for over 25 years and I am an experienced and skilled singer/songwriter/musician. I have played in various bands over the years and also fronted my own band. I employ a wide range of styles and genres.
I released a highly acclaimed solo album called The Sea is Calling in 1998 and I have supported bands such as The Levellers and The Albion Band. I am also currently playing in a duo called The Dappers. I play/sing a mixture of covers and original material covering a diverse landscape of musical styles and genres. I bring my own identity to the songs I cover and give them a unique soulful makeover. I play all over The Southwest and have been received with enthusiastic audiences. I have been reviewed and interviewed in various local magazines and newspapers and I am currently being play listed on BBC Radio Devon.

Influences
My songs are inspired from different areas. For instance I wrote the song Stormbringer during a particular long hot summer where everyone was longing for a break in the weather. It is also a song about the need for change and transformation. Many of my songs are about regeneration and new life. This is true of the song Show me the sun. My songs also revolve around metaphor and imagery bound up with nature. I have always been fascinated with nature and our relationship with it. I am driven to write about our emotional states and how this impacts us and the world and people. I am influenced by singer-song writers such as Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Paul Weller and John Martyn.
