I am a singer songwriter who regularly performs live. I have quite a few songs that I am looking to start performing live with other musicians from next year. I want to put the band together over the summer/autumn and start rehearsing in the autumn/winter. I primarily sing and play the piano, in addition to rhythm guitar. I am also a classically trained pianist with a degree in music. I have played live since I was at university and have both formed and played in a number of bands both here and in the US. I have started to play live recently after quite a break and really want to start working with a violinist.

Influences
Leonard Cohen (the wonderful laughing Len) is a particular influence, Thom Yorke, Nick Drake, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Rufus Wainwright, Elbow, Jeff Buckley, LCD Soundsystem, The Velvet Underground, etc. Looking at this list, it really does look like the usual suspects. There are many, many more, but these are the sort of influences in my music, so probably the most appropriate to list.
