DURY DUTY - Ian Dury Tribute Band, are looking for a PIANO/KEYBOARDS player. If you can also play guitar and sing a bit, that'd be handy too, but PIANO/KEYBOARDS is the thing.
As a bunch of guys, we cover quite an age group, from late twenties to early 60's, so we're not all old farts! But we all know how to have fun whilst doing something challenging!!
Dury Duty is a six-piece band dedicated to the songs and performance of legendary band leader and raconteur Ian Dury working to recreate the sound and feel of a genuine Ian Dury concert drawing from his many hits and also material found within his solo output, his work with The Kilburns, The Blockheads as well as other side projects.
Along with the expected big hitters such as 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick', 'Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll', 'Reasons To be Cheerful (Pt.3)', 'What A Waste' and other favourites forming the backbone of any set we also play lesser known but equally entertaining nuggets to whet the appetite of any long-time Ian Dury aficionado. We also have a lot of fun on stage and love it when it all goes wrong! Digging yourself out of the sh*t on stage is where it's at, maaaan!
