“As a band we all have very different influences. Ruth’s background is classical and her idols are David Bowie, Jarvis Cocker and Debbie Harry. Her songs are about love, life, the usual stuff – but spoken with unusual clarity and boldness. James’ bass and Will’s guitar tread the fertile lands of pop and new wave while Max's classic piano and keys have finished our sound with an anthemic touch. People find it very difficult to compare us to other known artists which is undoubtedly a good thing.”
