Fiddle Player and Bassist urgently needed!!!!
I am looking to start a covers band to eventually play the pubs and clubs in Manchester and now just need a bassist and a fiddle player who would be interested in playing Trad Irish music but with a bit of a twist as I already have the others in place and raring to go and get a good set together.
I want to be doing the traditional Irish but fused with influences from the likes of James, The Stone Roses,The Smiths, Arcade Fire to name but a few so we would be playing the likes of the Fields of Athenry or Rocky Roads to Dublin but with an Indie/Rock/Punk twist.
Similar bands would be the likes of Neck, Toss the feathers, Black 47, The Irish Descendants
If this sounds of interest to you then get in touch and we have practice sessions arranged just outside Manchester City centre
I would intend on having sessions to get a set together before going out to do gigs and possibly a few open mike nights in pubs to practice live
We already have a banjo player/ vocals, guitarist / vocals, drummer/some vocals and a tin whistle / bodhran player so am now looking for a good fiddle player and a bassist.
