SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
Many thanks for visiting my profile. At the time of this update in June 2026 I am playing regularly in two 'permanent' bands and occasionally playing in other settings such as jamming with old bandmates and playing at the Ashburton Arts Jazz Jam. Notwithstanding, I am always open to interesting new music projects so feel free to contact me.
In terms of what I've done music-wise, I started out playing jazz at school at a time when the Beatles were still together as a band - you can do the maths ! I played for about ten years in total all around Liverpool, my home town, and then all around Nottingham, my college town.
Coming down to the West Country in the 90s, most notably I played for the best part of a decade with the Devon-based seven-piece Dire Straits tribute - 'Dire Traits'. This band played all over the South of England as well as making a couple of forays over to festivals in France and Holland.
Since then I've engaged in various other musical projects including the Cullompton-based 'Slow Burn Blues Band', the Torquay-based all-originals band, 'Crow Road', the Dartmoor-based ceilidh band, 'Banned From The Moor' and the Newton Abbot-based 'No Messin' Blues' band.
If you've read this profile so far, many thanks for your interest !
All the best and Keep Music Live ! Cheers, Phil
