Hello, I`m mostly self taught, had a local drum teacher Dan Jacobs for about 18 months in the early days of playing. Been playing in a local gigging rock covers band for several years, had some experience of making up my own full drum parts in a heavy rock originals band to, which I enjoyed and would like to do again. Most US and UK old and modern soft/hard rock, 80`s hair rock, classic rock and metal (not Thrash or Growlers) some blues as well. AC/DC Van Halen, GnR`s, Metallica, Maiden, Cream, Bon Jovi, Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Joe Satriani, Kings of Leon, Saxon, Chicken Foot, Led Zep, Def Leppard, U2, Black Sabbath ... the list goes on and on and on ... Have joined up with some guys and we have a good sound/vibe going, we have a fantastic female Singer, (early 20`s) very skilled Lead and Bass players and me on drums, (all in our early 40`s) all talented musicians with many years experience in many bands over the years, we ideally are looking for a competent keys player to compliment the songs and styles we are playing, we practice once a week, so far we`ve been over tracks the likes of:
GNR, AC/DC, Journey, Mr Big, Kings Of Leon, Muse, Thunder, Black Stone Cherry, Katy Perry, Jet, Evanescence, Led Zep, Foo`s, Skunk Anansie, Stereophonics, Bad Company, Bon Jovi, The Howling and many more
Looking to build a great set list for a start, local gigs/ functions and see how we go, only good fun and enjoyment. If we can find the right keys player this could help with the direction of the bands choice in songs.
