At the time of writing this Doused are still an acoustic band that play a very intimate set. If you take a pinch from the acoustic sets of bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Seether, mix them all together and mellow them out just a tiny fraction you will be somewhere in the vacinity of Doused. Dont let that fool you though, Doused can't wait to hook up with a great drummer and start bringing the loud!!

Influences

There have been so many bands that have influenced the lives of all the band members that to name them here would be impossible. However I think it is safe to say that the most audible influences on Doused are the likes of Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Seether, Staind, Pearl Jam and Ugly Kid Joe. Individually the bands tastes range from Slipknot to Andrea Bocelli to Korn to Rage Against The Machine..... I could literally sit and type constantly for a week and have bands still coming out of my eyes.

EQUIPMENT

Equipment isn't something we really have the luxury of discussing on here so I'll abuse this section to counterbalance the bullshit questions underneath:

Yes we have played less than ten gigs but that is by choice not lack of offers. We've been playing acoustic covers to gel together and frankly didn't want to become an acoustic cover act. We decided to look for a drummer and escalate the gigs and rehearsals from there!
