ABOUT

24 year old music lover seeks a ride - and 36 other quirky and obscure Simpsons hit and run references. I'm okay at drums having played them on and off for over a decade but a little rusty these days (for lack of inspiration and motivation my kit sits and gathers dust and my skill fades), I can play a bit of guitar and write neat sounding bits but theory is currently beyond me.

I'm slowly backing out of a band I created a couple of years ago, my fellow band members are dear friends but lack the drive and commitment to actively contribute to writing new music and focus in rehearsal.

In terms of vocals my voice is something I'm working on but not expecting miracles, turn the mic down stick me in the corner and I'll happily sing backup. In terms of screamo, I'm pretty good, I can do pretty much the whole range from screechy highs down to a chonky guttural.

My main focus really is as a lyricist, I like to write angry songs about why the world sucks and would be looking primarily for an angry band / angry guitarist where my hatred for all things that are stupid could be put to good use... that said, I'll play anything except Jazz so feel free to get in touch!

Influences

Just about anything... My early roots in the heavier kinds of music are Enter Shikari, Linkin Park, Bloc Party etc. I then came up to The Amity Affliction and BMTH and beartooth and Dreamstate (Amazing band, if you don't know them, check them out). But I also dabble in other kinds of music for my kind of poppy tastes I listen to The Curious Incident, my favourite classical song is Pachabel's Cannon in D, Electro swing is great, bands like caravan palace, parov stelar and the correspondents ... the list is endless.
