ABOUT
I hold a Post Graduate diploma in Jazz and Rock Studies from the Guildhal School of Music and Drama.
I studied drums with the Professor of jazz studies at the Guildhall,Trevor Tomkins.
I studied Brazilian and latin percussion with Bosco De Oliveira and Roberto Pla with the London School of Samba.
I am into rock(all types) jazz(all types), funk, fusion, latin, blues, soul, reggae and r&b. I have worked with many major artists in popular music and jazz.
I am equally at home playing studio sessions/tv/radio/theatre/functions/touring and playing small clubs or vast concert halls and festivals. I have experience of all these.
I read music, play to click tracks and improvise. My playing lends itself to most styles of modern music.
I can improvise and expand into solo's when required, but also enjoy playing minimal, tight,(in the pocket) grooves with disciplined set arrangements.
