Band to Join.

ABOUT

All my current activity is relaxed and involves working with friends, local musicians, all play in or for other bands and some are tour musicians.
“I promote myself as a singer/musician/song writer and as such am very interested in working with other musicians and singers. I am looking for a band to work with on a more of a permanent basis playing covers and or original songs, am happy to be part of a unit- play or sing”.
Over the past 37 yrs I have worked in a number of bands, both full time and in conjunction with a professional business career. In the last 7 yrs I have worked on original material, recorded a demo songs CD and performed solo as well as with a number of local band.
In early 2018 I established a working brand Hopsons Kaffée with a small number of seasoned musicians, the idea was to developing a number of shows, which we have and it’s been great fun. firstly - The Guitar Legends Show ( video & media launched at The Musician in Leicester 29th Jan 2019) a 5 piece band with a dedicated stage show, celebrating the music of five Great Guitar Legends Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Gary Moore, Paul Kossoff & Jeff Beck. The Show works very well, however is quite a specialist performance and really has to be staged as such. So Thats Hopsons Kaffée Guitar Legends.
The second offering from this brand is an acoustic trio "Hopsons Kaffée Light" which is a more relaxed offering playing mainly acoustic well established R & B and Country Blues & Rockabilly covers + original songs – works very well and has multi venue appeal pubs, clubs, etc
Please see the website www.hopsonskaffee.com (Videos also available on YouTube) simple search for Hopsons Kaffee - please take reference Hopsons Kaffée is not a band as such, the gigs we do are selective as all members are doing other things, we come together when we have a gig.
As a songs writer I am always looking for people to collaborate with! Genre has no boundaries - some light original studio demos listed here on Bandmix 'song' - "Multi Coloured Dreams" has recently had 9 national radio plays in the USA which lead to requests for more songs of a similar nature."Give Me One More Whiskey" is being worked by a UK artist and the Rosie Baker version of "Please Come Home" is currently being viewed by a "Help The Hero's" variety company.
I would love to hear from you! Please Email me via Bandmix, very happy to talk band, music, songs etc with anyone - look forward to hearing from you. "all the best"!!

Influences

Selecting a few is very difficult, years of singing, playing, listening & working in and around the entertainment industry I have been influenced by so many different genre, so many great bands & artists. So going for the ones I enjoy the most rather than influence as there are are a lot :- Chuck Berry -Eric Clapton – Peter Green – John Mayall – BB King – Albert King – Muddy Waters – Robert Johnson – Gary Moore – Paul Kossoff, (Jeff Beck Rod Stewart days) Otis Redding – Sam Cooke - Rod Stewart – Steve Wonder – Elvis Presley – Rye Cooder – Keith Urban – Garth Brooks – Brad Paisley – Steve Earl
Bands:- Everley Brothers, Rolling Stones – Beatles – Cream - Led Zeppelin – C S N & Y – The Eagles - Lynyrd Skynyrd – Allman Brothers – Doobie – Lady Antebellum – Sugar Land – Drifters - and finally must add Status Que as they have to be one of the most 'fun' rock bands of all time! Finally a Young Band from Scotland called Ashton Lane who’s song writing and performances I really enjoy.
