Classically trained, but never took exams. Would say I'm about grade 7 standard. Thoroughly studied chord theory, harmonic progression and jazz styles. Able to busk well & play with a cheerful/funky improvisation style rather than modern jazz, have comped for a Big Band at night school and for a clarinetist, but mainly play to myself at home with the earphones on. Am an Accountant retiring next year and want a complete change for the rest of my years - looking for an opportunity to play as part of a cocktail trio/quartet or in a Big band/Trad band or as a solo cocktail pianist or as pianist with a singer. Most of the gigs were in my teens when I played piano for youth concerts, but I'm not rusty as I keep practicing.
