Bass Guitar.

What other Guitarist say about Dave….
Chris Ousey (Steve Morse, Jason Bonham, Snakecharmer, Micky Moody, Nick Bold,)

‘’Dave was the first guitarist I played in a band with and it was obvious from those early days, that here was a guy who was going to soak up the musical influences that surrounded him and constantly improve his technique. Over the intervening years he's done just that and more. An unusually diverse guitarist who continues to surprise and delight me with his ongoing musical projects.’’

Aziz Ibrahim – Guitar player – Simply Red, Asia, Stone Roses, Ian Brown

''Dave Goodlad is a cool player, known him since school days... - we all know he loves the blues guitar ''soundway'', from Chicago to Austin, but Dave is just as happy messing with Mike Stern tones. Check Dave out... I have. Peace. Aziz Ibrahim''

Robin Burrows – Guitar Player - http://www.robinburrows/

‘’The Reverend’s playing and demand on the guitar always makes you stand to attention. Also his focus to detail with stylistic solos always impresses.’’

Norman Beaker – Blues Guitar Player - (Chris Farlowe, Larry Garner and Van Morrison)

‘’Dave manages to cross seamlessly from the down home acoustic blues through Chicago and on to Rock Blues. All played with taste and conviction.’’

(Norman Beaker has toured and recorded with many blues artists including Graham Bond, Jack Bruce,[ Chuck Berry,Jimmy Rogers, Alexis Korner, Buddy Guy, Lowell Fulson, Fenton Robinson and B. B. King. Beaker has toured regularly with Chris Farlowe, Larry Garner and Van Morrison. He has contributed as a session guitarist to many recordings including Jack Bruce, Lowell Fulson, James Booker and Van Morrison.[3]

Neil Shaw-Hulme (James Brown)

‘’I have had the privilege of knowing and playing with Dave for over 20 years. He is a great blues player of the tone and melody variety. Very reminiscent of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Hendrix in his style. He avidly absorbs other styles and sounds. Over the years Dave has been a catalyst for players too, very proactive finding gigs and performance opportunity for all he's involved with artistically. Humble, reliable, helpful and creates a really nice environment in which to work.’’

Multi-instrumentalist, professional musician, musical director
Jon Boydon – West End – Jersey Boys/We will Rock You/Rocky Horror Show

"Veteran bluesman, Dave Goodlad, has all the hallmarks of a man who has been there, played the gig, and bought the merchandise. An experienced live performer, and further down the never ending road of 'finding the ultimate tone' than I, his playing speaks of his great musical taste; you can clearly hear the influences of Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, mid-era Eric Clapton (when he was still great), Peter Green, BB King, Gary Moore, Jimi Hendrix to name only a few. Modest and tasteful licks punctuate and compliment the studio tracks I've heard, adding to (but never overshadowing) the song being represented’’

‘’MK’’ - Michael Klapholz (San Francisco guitarist: Bay Area guitars wars winner https://www.youtube/watch?v=tA_zadgtkgs&feature=share )

The Reverend played with MK in and around California during the late 80’s. At the time a Gibson Les Paul De Luxe was the guitar of choice, fitted with what were then the innovative Seymour Duncan Pick Ups, courtesy of the San Francisco Guitar Centre.

Dave Goodlad ‘The Reverend’ is a guitarist from the North of England, now in his fifth decade of playing. Like most players The Reverend has developed a unique style, but with a solid foundation in Chicago blues. He is the guitarist with the Anna Stone Band.

First paid gig age 13. Grew up on Jimi and the Stones, Freddie King and Peter Green. The Rev Billy Gibbons, EVH, Mike Stern and Randy Rhodes coloured my sound whilst SRV brought me right back to basics and getting it right. Jeff, Billy G and Rory keep me believing in honesty and the guitar. If this makes sense to you then we should talk.

Humbled to have formed and played in numerous bands with my mate Chris Ousey now with Snakecharmer. Too many other bands, deps and sessions too mention. I'm a fast learner

Formed the Anna Stone Band with Anna in early 2015. CURRENT LINE UP - Anna vocals, guitar, John bass, Neal Adams drums. I have my own modest recording facility, just for fun and to jam with like minded funsters.

Played guitar since I was 6, Blues player, and love to play funky stuff, rock stuff etc, any song covered as I just love to play. Like to get close, personal and right up to the original sound of a song, then put in my own additions. Play slide with open and flattened tuning. Love to jam and create.

20 od year old studio sessions are below, no offence meant to the original artists ......

Guitar wise I nick ideas from anyone I am able to replicate. Tone wise I am highly critical of self in order to satisfy my hardest critic; me. Over the years I have played just about every style.

Instrument experience:

Lead Guitar:
Vocalist - Tenor:
Background Singer:

Gear wise it is whatever takes my fancy, though currently Tom Anderson, Gibbo FB, Strat, Blackstar Series One, Blackstar Artisan. Generally I A/B Y three or four amps and use a stupid amount of effects pedals, all wired old school.
