I write copious amounts of lyrics that lend more to spoken word or stream of conciseness. The subject materiel seems to be current affairs and politics (I wish it wasn’t) Im looking to experiment with spoken word, Samples and Ambient atmospheric mood samples HOWEVER! just playing simple barre chords in a hi energy fractious unpolished punk / indie band would be awesome to be surrounded by more talented folk than me. Only want to be with people who are moved by music and not trying to play like robots and mimicking covers, with no input of their own. If Im honoured to do a cover of someone’s moving piece, then it’s gonna be a different arrangement (different instruments) and with mine and fellow bands input and approach. No attempting to copy verbatim here and playing as close to the original (why would you be naive enough to think you can be as good as the creator) with no feelings. No poppy love songs (unless they are dark or melancholy ) or spice tunes.
Note, my songwriting (needs some severe editing BTW) opens a Pandora box on far left and far right. WARNING ?? ALL viewpoints are represented here so we don’t disappear up our own viewpoint slash hipster (grumpy old man me) or Brexit backside .
