Daniel has been playing drums since the age of 14, self taught until the age of 16 when he started taking professional lessons from the local hero Mr. Dave Lourie. From that point Daniel has built up his experience and earnt the respect of alot of local professional musicians. Alot of his playing experince comes from being hired by Newcastle Drum Centre percussional ensemble, working with the Sunderland Symphony Orchestra taking on gigs such as The Sage Gateshead, Edinbrugh Fringe Festival, The Stadium of light and The Sunderland Empire, Playing award evenings with Newcastle College lectures and working with alot of local bands of all styles and backgrounds not only live but also in the studio. Daniel`s main goals are to grab as many opportunities as possible and as much experience as possible. He has a deep passion for all music and massive respect for anyone who takes it seriously, whilst having fun of course!!! Check out myspace/danieldixondrums
