ABOUT

Singer-songwriter looking to form a band of talented, creative and committed musicians. Eventually, it'll be a five-piece, but we can build it gradually. I'm currently performing solo using a sequencer and samples to cover everything, so I can drop parts out as people join.

Lead guitar: The ability to shred at 200mph and possession of an amp that goes up to 11 are not necessary. Funky, melodic and inventive is the brief for this role.

Bass: Groovy and melodic. If you can bring a bit of fretless to the party, i'd love to get a bit of a Pino Palladino / Mick Karn vibe going (If you know, you know).

Drums: Solid and versatile, with the ability to handle a bit of rhythmic complexity. Some songs will include sequencing even when the line-up is complete, so you'll need to be able to play to a click.

Keys: There's a lot going on here, but I'll also be playing. You'll be covering a wide range of piano, lead synth and orchestral parts.

Multi-instrumentalists are especially welcome and the ability to sing harmony vocals would be very useful. Am I asking for too much?

I'm from Stoke-on-Trent but currently living in Liverpool, so I'll be frequently between the two and able to work with musicians from anywhere around or between those locations. Manchester is also do-able for me.

Genre-wise, it's quite mixed-up at the moment, but there's definitely an '80s influence running through what I do. I enjoy creating in a range of styles and would like to work with people who are similarly open-minded and can bring their own personality to the sound. I have over 30 songs recorded (and at least as many written but unrecorded), which are being released on all the usual platforms.
