Following the disbanding - nothing sinister, just a relocation of the 'band leader' for work in the states - of a band who I sang backing vocals for (as well as playing toy piano and melodica, but that rarely comes in handy!), I'm looking to get involved in a new project. I've previously played a few small gigs, our recorded songs got played on 6Music a couple of times, and I'm prepared to commit to practice every other, or potentially every week.

I'm fairly confident of my ability to hold harmonies, but I don't pretend to be able to sing from a score, or write down what I'm singing very easily. I am however, quick to learn a tune and words, and happy to give my input on the creative side if welcome (and I'll do my level best to pipe down if not).

I tend to like folk/acoustic/indie/rock/country/blues/hip-hop/funk/r&b/soul music, but there are exceptions to every rule, and I like a bunch of stuff that doesn't fit into those categories.

I guess it's probably useful to know what I sound like, so here goes (and please forgive the fact that one or two places are slightly out of my range - I'm improving with practice):
