ABOUT

MAXFIELD was formed in 2005 after singer/songwriter and co-producer Valerie Maxfield began her dream to going it alone. Go to yourbeats.co.uk/valeriem to know more about Valerie. While constantly touring, she wrote all her ideas and on her journey teamed up Joules Chown, Keyboardist/Producer/Engineer, drummer Clive Jenner of Groove Armada fame/Freestylers and Roots Manovre along with Marky Mark guitarist, whose worked with most of the top ten french artistes and had the honour of playing with Ray Charles in the latter years. Together for the first time, they pitted their experiences and influences and MAXFIELD was born. MAXFIELD's brand of music is a musical journey of eclectic magic. So many influences to mention, but let's just say anthemic rock/tripsoul/gritty skeletal funk. UNIQUE. 'It's been a long time coming' Valerie says, 'With so much emotion, dissapointments and joy all embroiled into one. All we can hope that our story gets told.'
