Chris Ross, experienced and formally educated bassist. 4 & 5 string fretted & fretless basses, with rhythm guitar as a secondary instrument. available for sessions / gigs / deps in Cambridge, Bristol, East Anglia, South of England. Will travel. Enjoy playing all styles of music: lounge, rock, funk, folk whatever. Whether you're looking for a bass player for a blues gig, Led Zeppelin tribute or even just an advertising jingle about toilet paper. Studied three years Jazz and Popular Music course specialising in bass guitar at Goldsmiths College; took evening classes in guitar at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford; studied bass privately with the great Yolanda Charles and most recently guitar with Mike Goodman.
I also do live sound engineering / provide PA for other acts and venues on request. Recent events at which I've done sound engineering include Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party, Twinwood Festival, Weyfest and more.
