Hello! I'm a songwriter looking for talented musicians to help play and write my songs.

First and foremost, I'd really love to meet a singer that I could work with. I've several songs of my own - but can't really do them all justice. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who understands what I'm trying to achieve, and would be willing sing the parts I can't! That might well be the majority - but my songs and words mean too much to me to relinquish the job completely!

I'm also looking for guitarists, bass players, keyboard players, drummers... the usual! But hey, if you're brilliant at the mandolin or cello or something, then maybe that could be cool too!

My aim is to finish a really solid demo tape before I have to go to uni in October. If I could do that, then I've got a few decent "contacts" that I could send them too! I'm not going to name names (mainly because I don't want to sound like I'm hanging on their coat tails!) but my uncle is a film and tv musician, and my second cousin is in a band signed to Virgin who've made the top 10 a couple of times this year! Maybe I could blag a position as support act...!

Check out the wma of my song below for an idea of my style. It's a work in progress - no vocals or drums yet, and the bass is programmed - but you'll get the idea!

Oh, and if you're interested, a decent rehersal space wouldn't hurt your case...!

I'm often accused by my friends of having fairly narrow musical tastes - but that's just because I can't stand metal and and drum and bass!

I tend to be drawn to things with a strong lyrical and melodic content - and thats usually decent pop music - but as long as its got those things, I don't really mind what form it takes!

Just me so far! I know a few guys who I could rope in to play bass and drums etc. but I'd rather do that when I've got a vocalist.

I play guitar & keyboards. I'm also a lyricist and write vocal melodies - even if I'm not always up to performing them!

EQUIPMENT

-An SG Copy with a Fender amp
-A Freshman Acoutic with a Marshall amp
-A Roland RD170 Digital Piano
-An ancient harmonium!

I've also got a pretty nifty proffessional quality home recording set-up.
