I've been playing bass guitar and acoustic guitar for years. I've played bass in many bands but over the last few years I've been drawn to the more acoustic side of music and I've become bored of 'rock' and the one-dimensional feel of the rock drummer. For the last six years or so I have played upright bass in bluegrass sessions and I also play upright in a five piece bluegrass band.
My electric bass is a Godin five string semi-acoustic fretless which has a lovely 'woody' sound and is perfect for acoustic music.
