My name is Claire. I play the clarinet. After a long period of not playing, I am looking to create a band to perform a selection of Christmas songs for a fundraiser for a fantastic grassroots charity in December (please check it out: https://themagpieproject.org/)
Not going to lie, I'm fairly rusty on the clarinet and not experienced at all with music arranging - at this point I'm not even entirely sure of what instruments are needed/ what would work and so it would be wonderful to meet to discuss further if you have experience in this. I'm just really up for having a bloody good reason to practice - everyone knows playing music with other people is so much more fun than playing on your todd.
I'm thinking we would need:
Piano
Brass
other woodwind
Essentially this would be for someone who is just really keen to play music with other people for the joy of it - with the added bonus of raising money for a good cause.
I would ideally like to meet every two weeks to formulate the arrangements together and practice. Let me know if this is of interest to you! I'd love to hear from you :)
