ABOUT

Chukonu are a four piece Hard Rock / Metal band from Hampshire,
England. Chukonu formed in 2012 from the remains of several local
bands and began rehearsing with the aim to locate a mutual sound.
Chukonu started to perform locally gathering a strong and dedicated
Fanbase throughout the South Coast area where they performed as
support acts at local venues.
In 2014 Chukonu continued with their momentum and embarked on a
UK tour of more established and suited venues. Chukonu supported
bands such as Judy Shire, Manic Shine and Eternal Fear on their UK
tours. This opportunity meant Chukonu now faced bigger exposure with
a stronger national fanbase, Working alongside bigger promotion
agencies and Record label interest. As well as acting as a support
band to International bands Chukonu continued to improve on their
progress by Headlining a series of venues throughout the UK alongside
further up and coming bands. Chukonu have also had a great amount
of interest from Festival organisers and as such are due to Headline the
“Live Club Stage” At Guilfest 2014 (voted best UK medium sized
Festival) alongside Soulfly, Gallows, Buzzcocks, Sham69, Boomtown
Rats, Human League and Kool and the Gang. This announcement has
led to Chukonu receiving interest from other medium sized venue's
throughout the UK and Europe.
Chukonu have worked alongside promoters such as BugBear
promotions, Viper promotions, Rock Bitch promotions and Klawhammer
Music in order to gain exposure and increase on their national fanbase.
Chukonu have established their own sound inspired by early thrash
metal and power metal bands mixed with their unique melodic
aggressive vocals to re-write the Rock sounds of today. Chukonu use
real world and political issues in order to express their music which has
been used by their fans as a voice of their generation.
Chukonu have one simple aim for the future. TO PROMOTE, TO
PERFORM and to INSPIRE A GENERATION
