I write riffs that mix modern 8-string guitar techniques with more old-school (or more 'listenable') grooves, and prefer straight heaviness rather than overly-complex riffs, therefore would sooner compare my style to Stephen Carpenter than Tosin or the similar djent/prog style artists. Though in my influences are plenty of Death/Blackened artists and therefore I swing between Doom style riffage and more chromatic styles, so would fit in any band that wants either groove or raw heaviness.
I currently attend at SAE Liverpool too, so am learning to record and mix music.
