LOOKING FOR AN OUD PLAYER FOR A MEMORIAL SERVICE ON AUGUST 29TH
I am not in fact a musician myself, but I am involved in organizing a memorial in Nunhead/Peckham for a man who was born in Aleppo and taught himself and loved the oud. There are some singers on board, from an early music choir, and the hopeful idea is to find an oud player who would be game improvise while the singers do something early and quite formal. Or the singers could be the ones who improvise. Final performance not more than 8 minutes, between 3 and 3.30pm on August 29th.
