ABOUT
I've been playing in bands since i was about 12, with lessons before that. The way I've learnt to play is by listening. I can read music to a certain degree, but most of the time I won't need or use it. This doesn't mean I won't use it if it's given either. I regularly go to church at Birmingham City Church (BCC), formerly known as Birmingham Christian Centre, where I play in the worship band, mostly bass or drums, but I have lead at smaller events from keyboards.
I have a 2:1 Honours degree in Sound Engineering and Production, so I know about recording and producing as well as live sound, routing and monitoring and whatnot.
The thing I'm best at is timing. As a drummer and bassist, timing is the thing I concentrate on most, and I don't take long to settle into a tempo. I see it as the bass and drums being the base for every thing else to be played off of. If it's not solid, it all falls apart.
I'm currently in a band called Lionsong, and we rehearse regularly every Monday for 2-3 hours. We are incredibly devoted to getting our band off the ground and taking it all the way so that it can finally be a full time gig for us. Check us out at www.lionsongmusic
