My name is Chatonda Ridley (everyone calls me Chats for short) I’m a bass and double bass player. I’m looking to start or join a band with some people around Scotland (hopefully near Edinburgh). I’m not too fussed about what we play style wise it’s more just getting into it and making whatever style we do end up playing sound good!

Too many to list! I really like a lot of different styles of music and I play a lot of different things so it honestly varies.
People tell me they can hear a lot of flea in my playing if it’s more rock funk stuff. They usually say I sound a bit more John Paul Jones like for blues and no one has ever commented on my jazz styles, haha.

Harelequin Rockabilly 3/4 (double bass of choice)
Pretty Brown Eyes - Ysness (and the band!)
Pretty Brown Eyes - Ysness (and the band!)A cover of an awesome tune by Mint Condition. We played it a bit more Bossa style and it turned out pretty good. It was an awesome chance to work with some cool cats. If you enjoyed it then please check out Ysness' channel! Great music with a lot of heart! Vocals: Ysness Keys: Zanang Dangata Sax: Kazacham Dangata Bass: Chats Ridley Drums: Iain Downie Percussion: Eddie
Before me - Oracle
Before me - OracleA track from one of my old bands! It's a nice chill song that we all put together. We did a very basic recording of it at a studio so please excuse the mixing! Hope you all enjoy it :) Vocals & acoustic Guitar: Liz Jones Bass: Chats Ridley Keys: Kevin O'Rourke Electric Guitar: Nick Mytilinaios Drums: Iain Carmichael

FATS - Fran and Chats
FATS - Fran and ChatsThis was born out of one of the first jams Fran and i ever had. I guess it's what happens when you put a slightly funky bass player with a beastly drummer :) Check out the video on my channel: Chatonda Ridley (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEPzbl_QmJY)
GNUC - Fran and Chats
GNUC - Fran and ChatsThis is a song I did with the Indomitable spying_on_cats (A.K.A. Frans Potter). This was the first song he ever wrote and performed by himself and I had the joy of helping him perform it in a band setting. Please check out the video for it on the spying_on_cats youtube channel or on my channel at Chatonda Ridley. Bass: Chats Everything else: Fran (what a guy!)
