ABOUT

My name is Cameron Spencer, and I am a professional keyboard player specialising in contemporary styles including Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk and Soul, as well as music theory and production. I started playing the piano aged 8 and have been passionate about music ever since.

After working through the ABRSM Classical and Jazz grades, I studied Music and Music Tech A-levels at college. I was tutored by highly regarded industry professionals such as Brian Henry (Soul II Soul, Mica Paris) and Frank Tontoh (Amy Winehouse, George Michael) at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where I achieved a 2:1 in Professional Music Performance (BMus).

I have a wealth of experience performing live and recording in studios, as well as a diverse knowledge of theory, culture/history and music technology. My repertoire consists of approximately 350 songs.

Since 2019, I have been playing the piano on cruise ships, working for companies such as Holland America, P&O and Princess. In between contracts, I've depped for function bands, laid down keys in various studio sessions for artists inc. DD Allen and played with exciting original bands/artists such as The Maitree Express (tour of Andorra), while also finding the time to collaborate with up-and-coming producers like Sudhan Gurung.

In addition to playing live, I create and mix my own music using software such as Logic Pro X and Sibelius.
