I am a 21 year old psychology student who has been playing trumpet for over 14 years. I have been in 2 principal roles in Lions Youth Brass Band (flugelhorn soloist and cornet), who I played for, for 10+ years until leaving when I was 18. I have also played for Fodens Youth band, and played alongside Fodens and Black Dyke. I am interested in joining a brass band but I have also played in swing bands, orchestras and big bands, which I am also interested in. I own a trumpet but don’t have a cornet at the moment.

Influences
Winton Marsalis is my biggest trumpet idol - I love his take on classical pieces. Quiet City is mesmerising and it takes me to another world when I’m playing it - it was my main piece for grade 8 which I received full marks for.
Alison Balsom has influenced my playing so much. I love sound, and the light and vibrant playing of classical concertos.
