I first started playing drums in 2005, having never picked up a stick before. Within four months, the indie rock three-piece I formed with two friends from my university days had played our first gig at The Grapes in Sheffield. After that we played several more gigs and recorded three EPs at Sheffield's Yellow Arch Studios with various addiotional members n vocals at differnet times. In 2011, the three of us original members formed a more electronic sounding band (me having bought an e-kit to play at home and hearing how good it sounded through a PA). This band came to a natural end in 2024 and I am now looking for more opportunities to play in a band (alongside doing my grade 8 drums). In these two bands I was lucky to have a songwriter who wrote original tunes (as well as doing something original with the odd cover) with me creating the drum parts. So I guess I would be looking for something similar but am open to suggestions. I also jam on occasion with one of the members of the former band who is a talented bass and synth player. So, if you're an individual, we would be open to forming something for sure. Cheers!
