I'm a semi-retired Maths teacher. I love playing the bass and play it Every Day. I'm at an intermediate level and I play with others at local Open Mic nights (the Bay Horse and the Albert in Totnes) and would love the opportunity to play more, and learn more. I'd love to get together with one or two others, practice together once or twice a week with the intention of bringing our music to Open Mic nights and maybe more.

Influences
My age means that I was a teenager in the Sixties - so guess what my influences were. I'm not into Loud and Fast - prefer quiet, slow and meaningful (my fingers don't move very fast!) but I'm quite eclectic in my tastes - Tracy Chapman/Lennon/ Clapton/ JJ Cale/ Sting/ Leonard Cohen/ Lou Reed/ Nic Cave/ Tom Waits, etc etc.
