For many years I personally have played as Arrow playing my tenor saxophone with recorded backing,. I act as presenter, DJ and generally getting the party going, as required.
Clients welcome this format at weddings, parties, large restaurants, promotions etc. because they may not want to take up the space and pay the much higher price for multiple live musicians. When you think about it, on TV and music videos you usually see only the vocalist(s), without the band who are making the sound! Now I want a vocalist or two vocalists and although I'll play some sax will probably play bass guitar when you're singing, just to look good!.
It's handy being a small band because we can rehearse at home and organise gigs more easily to fit in with people's diaries,

Influences
Pop chart hits from 1970s to the present day. Current favourites (male) Olly Murs and Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, (female) Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, and a little earlier Rihanna, Katy Perry.and Carly Rae Jepsen. Alltime best girl band Destiny's Child. And I like Little Mix latest!
I think my fav alltime performer was Michael Jackson for his singing and dancing but there have been so many greats.
Members Of Band
See above. Although I can read music, I prefer playing by ear. I have played about 1,000 paid gigs for different sorts of music. I have turned my back on jazz, etc and prefer pop, keeping up to date with current Charts. If a client wanted to book me individually for jazz, I'd get on OK.
My vocalist (s) will find themselves as stars of the show keeping the whole place singing along, dancing and generally leaping around. Initially, we'll make a video for our website and social media, so you'll be an internet star!
EQUIPMENT
Starsinger 6000 karaoke machine plus a spare, Behringer PMP3000 mixer-amp, two 500-watt RMS speakers with stands, Gemini UP - 2064 radio mic outfit, 600 instrumental backing tracks, 800 karaoke backing tracks (about to get 400 more), 27-inch video monitor, laser lights. Custom-made music/promotion stand and miscellaneous equipment.
I own my Selmer Mark 6 tenor saxophone, Roland GW-7 keyboard, acoustic guitar,Les Paul electric guitar, Selmer trumpet , pair of B flat and A clarinets, Hohner chromatic harmonica and various small wind instruments
