I am an in-demand drummer and percussionist based in Devon, looking for more opportunities to play with like-minded musicians.
In recent years I have played at Ealing, Cheltenham, Marlborough, Plymouth, and Teignmouth jazz festivals with my band, The Ronnie Jones Quartet: www.ronniejonesquartet.co.uk.
I have also performed at The Welsh Proms, Troyfest, Brecon Jazz Festival and been featured on The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC 6 Music as a session musician (percussion) with Cardiff funk band Kookamuna.
I have a reputation for sensitive and creative playing, particularly well-suited to jazz trio and quartet format. In 30 years of playing, I have performed with some of the most highly-regarded jazz musicians in the country including: Mike & Kate Westbrook, Alec Dankworth, Nils Solberg, John Horler, Gary Bayley, Tony Roberts , Kate Daniels, Graham Pike and Tom Unwin; as well as the top jazz musicians in the South West of England.
