SEEKINGBass Guitar, Drums.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist seeks bass player and drummer for a tuneful pop/rock outfit vaguely similar to Blink 182 and Green Day.
Some examples of my song writing may be heard on SoundCloud:
None of these songs sound very much like rock, but it will hopefully give you an idea of my songwriting, at least.
I would like to rehearse (and then play gigs) about once a fortnight somewhere fairly local to Bracknell, Berks.
I am not aiming to completely go for it and become famous!
I am also not interested in making (serious) money. It’s just for fun.
The general idea is to record an album and occasionally play in local venues.

Just me so far
Looking BackTook a girl, to me she lied, couldn’t go back if I tried, but oh, What a lie. Memories so unfair, why do they have to take me there when I, Think of her? And I think of her. When I consider that you never really cared, I can smile through all the pain. And I was innocent to everything you shared, To the others fought in vain. Looking back, I needed you, was the one that heeded you and now, All for naught. Rue the day I walked away, hate the time I came to stay, I know, I’m a fool, You know that I’m a fool. Something so beautiful I didn’t even care, but, It’s a glory to be free. And now I’m coming down it’s something I can bear, To be lonely, now I see. Yes I know that times were good, something that I never should confess, To you now. Looking back I breathe a sigh, relief and pleasure on a high, I won’t, Need you now. No I don’t need you now. And look at what you’ve done there’s nothing left to say, Feeling lonely, you’re to blame. I hope you understand that love will find a way, Play again it’s all a game, Looking back I’m just the same.

Cry For You
Cry For YouI won't cry for you tonight love, Pride don't let me go. Hide away now, All the things you say now, Couldn't hurt me, no. You say goodbye, Look to the sky, Love will not die. To claim a prize of consolation, Take you back once more. You I hated, Left me devastated, Damaged to the core. How can I stay? Just for today, I can't obey. And I can't find a way to drown the thought of you. A hollow heart, an empty bottle, nothing new. You will always find a way for, Us to be as one. We could make it, If I'd only fake it, Smiling on the run. I won't stay true, Just for you, This love is through.
A Way To Be
A Way To BeI try to find a way to be happy, giving, smart and free. A Google plated dream is real. I stamp it as a leisure seal. Watching time flow with the sands, I turn from those who know the bands. Cynics give me no reprieve, wearing bile on their sleeve. Is something real if you cannot see it? I know a person who thinks of a dream but never can be it. What is a guy to do? Living a lie can be fun when all is said but left undone. I know you feel the same as me. We’ve got to find a way to be. We go around thinking ‘this is for me’. Living life. How hard can it be? It gives a little as you learn. The sun for me I’ll always yearn. Is something real if you cannot see it? I know a person who thinks of a dream but never can be it. What is a guy to do?
Where To Now?
Where To Now?Sincere congratulations to my friends Robin and Rachel on tying the knot. This one's for you! Lyrics: Birds and bees, Leaves on trees, Wings of love carried on the breeze And who sees where you’re heading to now? A strange brew, Something new, Put a sixpence in your shoe, And here’s to you both dancing on the moon. And when waves are crashing, they rock your boat. Just bear it in mind that your friends will keep you afloat. Fly on to the place where the eagles dare. Wherever you go then you’re bringing us too. We are there. A wild quest, Together is best, Climb up, reach the crest, Flying to destination unknown. Wander around, Feet on the ground, To great things you are bound, You both are crowned king and queen of the roost.
